At the temple, there was a small shop selling items blessed. Craig purchased a small wooden bead bracelet. I made a bigger, potential lifelong choice. I bought a jade bracelet. I didn't know at the time that putting a jade bracelet on in a tradition Chinese way is more significant than it looks. Two women soaped up my arm, then worked it back and forth until it went onto my wrist. Apparently, Chinese women think its more attractive when the bracelet is tight on the wrist. It is! I think this should be a lesson for the American jewelry industry. When it doesn't fit, soap it up and force it on.

Hello there, I have been wanting to send a comment, but had to get talked thru it by your Mother tonight. I have loved reading everything and love seeing the pictures. Jack seems like he has bonded very well with both of you. That is what I see from the pictures. It will be so good to get him home and get into a routine with all of you. You take care and know we are all thinking of you and wishing you a safe trip back. Love Auntie Chris
Hi Auntie Chris,
I am glad you are enjoying the blog. Its a great way for us to have our whole family share this awesome experience. Tonight we were walking through down the street and I turned to Craig and said, "We are in China. We have a new son." Its so unbelieveable to be on the other side of the world. It means so much to us to know we have such a loving and supportive family at home.
We thinking he is connecting with us and starting to form bonds. We have been careful to do the same routines each day with meals, baths and bedtime. Once we get home I hope we can keep some of the things we've done here as part of his new home routine.
See you soon,
Caroline
