This morning we went to the Nanning Zoo. It was somewhat like a cross between a zoo in the US 30 years ago and a side of the road Sea World. Jack did enjoy being there.
This picture was taken at the entrance to the zoo. Pigs are everywhere you look because of Chinese New Year.

Craig and Jack took a boat ride. Craig said Jack hopped in the boat like he had done it before. He knew how to steer and everything. It makes me wonder what kind of experiences he had before we met him. I know we can't know, but I am glad to see he has had some positive life experiences.
Once again with the giant Koi. Its wild to see this fish jumping out of the water. They had these cute little wooden stools for the kids to sit on as they feed the fish. In this picture you can see that Jack has his arm all the way back getting ready for a throw. He has an great arm.
I even saw catfish in the mahem.
Checking out the monkeys. The pink flamingo was thrust into the taxi as we were getting out. The aggressive woman literally pushed past Craig while we were still in the car to put it in Jack's hand. They do this to sell these things for 1 yuan or 13 cents. Their idea is to get it in the kids hand and then you don't want to take it out and get the child upset so you buy it. We had it happen in the People's park yesterday. I chased the woman off. Today she came out of nowhere. We went with it because it was actually a neat balloon.

Glad to see you all out and about. The food selection is difficult. Perhaps you now understand my feelings about our trip to China. Does Jack have a good appetite? Is he able to eat pretty well? Hunter has had a great week. He is excited that its Friday. We love you all!
Thanks for keeping us all informed. Hunter is doing very, very well.
I hope that you can take your trip and experience in the most valuable and positive way possible. I want so much for the young adults and adults of the US to see the back cities of China, the barrios well outside Santiago, the cardboard and scrap metal/wood villages seaward of Abidjan, not too mention Lagos and Delhi.
It's interesting; most Chinese and oriental scientists, like Deyu or even Woo-Jun, who spend time with me in the US, find our food to be one of the most difficult adjustments. Try some pickeled vegetables with your rice. The light, Biejing-type, beer has some good sustenance. Have you tried a "thousand year old egg" yet? Not bad.
The street salespeople of the world are everywhere, and yes often quite annoying. There are some places where three people wash your windshield at every stop light. Just roll with it, being firm when you need too, as you seem to be doing pretty well. It's always hard to know when to share your yuan and when to hide them.
We are with you in spirit.
Live in and enjoy the moment.
Love, Daddy/Treff/Grampie

Jack looks like he's doing so well! What a little trooper! Thanks for sharing!
Jack is a trooper for sure! I like to think of him as a survivor. His appetite is incredible. He loves to eat and is so good at it too. He has a system down so he can really eat just about anything. (like I said survivor) He got some corn caught in his open palate area once and was a bit upset. Once we figured out to watch for it - it was easy.

The large Koi in the bottom is a Mongrol Koi, the most dangerous of all goldfish!
Great pictures!
We miss you guys.... So do the twins.
